Had you noticed that the editorial for this issue was written in Bosnia and Herzegovina? It is a theme we shall pick up in the January 2008 issue of the magazine when we feature Bosnia - surely one of the least explored countries in Europe. What else? Well, old shopping arcades are wonderful things, are they not? Be it the tiny Corridor in Bath (1825) or the cathedral-like Galleria Vittorio Emanuele in Milan (1867), such galleries are places to linger. We look at some of Europe's best examples in hidden europe 18, published on Monday 7 January.
This being the last issue of hidden europe for 2007, might we wish all our readers, a little prematurely perhaps but nonetheless sincere for that, a very happy Christmas and New Year. Or, better still, let us end with a Welsh touch - Nadolig Llawen a Blwyddyn Newydd Dda.
