In the next issue of hidden europe magazine, we’ll reflect on the link between the Septinsular Republic and the United States. It is a European story, not an excursion into the New World. We shall report from spots as diverse as an Austrian castle and a salt pan in the Canary Islands. We’ll also carry our article, held over from this issue for lack of space, on English nature writing which long predates the current fad for New Nature Writing. Issue 54 of hidden europe will be published on the Ides of March — that’s the 15th of the month.
