hidden europe

Exploring cultures and communities – the slow way

Ok, hidden europe has yet to make a splash in the global media. But we certainly made it into the Fiji Times in December 2005 when one of Nicky's reports for an aviation news agency was republished. "Nauru and Kiribati lose all their air services" went the headline... and we felt extremely honoured that this quirky piece of aviation news made it even into the Kiribati Newsroom pages of Event Polynesia. That was nothing to do with Europe, of course, so we were even more chuffed when our article on Armenians at home and abroad (in hidden europe 7) was translated into Armenian and republished in Lalish monthly — not to mention the Vologda Oblast in Russia that asked us if they could have a copy of our article on Father Frost (hidden europe 5) on display on their website. Thanks again Olga!
