A note from the remote border region on the Barents Sea coast where Russia and Norway share a common frontier.

We wrote in hidden europe 16 about that little finger of Norwegian territory that abuts the Barents Sea and shares a short common border with Russia.

The Russian and Norwegian foreign ministers met in Kirkenes (Norway) in mid-June and there is serious talk of freeing up movement in the common border region.
